Position Summary

We are looking for an experienced Implementation Team Lead to lead FundMiner’s client implementation practice and ensure every new customer launches successfully on the platform.

In this role, you will own the end-to-end implementation lifecycle from initial kickoff through go-live and handoff to the Customer Success team. You will develop scalable implementation playbooks, lead a growing team of implementation specialists, and partner closely with Sales, Product, and Engineering to deliver fast, high-quality onboarding experiences that drive lasting client value.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Implementation Strategy: Own FundMiner’s implementation methodology, playbooks, and project delivery standards. Continuously refine processes to reduce time-to-value and improve consistency across all client onboardings.
  • Project Delivery: Lead and manage concurrent implementation projects from signed contract through go-live. Maintain clear project plans, milestones, and accountability across internal teams and client stakeholders.
  • Client Implementation Experience: Serve as the primary implementation point of contact for new clients. Lead discovery sessions, configuration, data migration, user training, and go-live readiness reviews to ensure a smooth and confident launch.
  • Leadership & Team Development: Recruit, lead, and scale a high-performing implementation team. Set clear KPIs and track performance against goals.
  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate closely with Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Engineering to deliver a cohesive onboarding experience. Surface implementation blockers and client feedback to inform product roadmap and process improvements.
  • Client and Stakeholder Relationships: Build strong relationships with key client stakeholders during the implementation phase, ensuring confidence in the platform and a successful handoff to the Customer Success team.
  • Ongoing Support: Provide structured post-go-live support for a defined stabilization period before transitioning the client relationship to the Customer Success team.
  • Processes & Procedures: Implement scalable systems and processes to monitor implementation health, forecast project timelines, and identify risks early. Analyze performance metrics and deliver insights to inform leadership strategy.
  • Tools & Technology: Leverage platforms like HubSpot, Asana, and Microsoft Office to track project progress, manage workflows, and ensure consistent documentation and follow-through. Maintain clear records of all implementation activities, decisions, and next steps.
  • Market & Customer Intelligence: Maintain deep awareness of industry trends, client pain points, and the competitive landscape. Leverage insights to anticipate implementation challenges and guide improvements to onboarding strategy and product design.

Skills & Experience

This is an ideal but non-exhaustive list of qualifications we are looking for in a successful candidate. If you meet some but not all of these, we encourage you to apply anyway! We look at each applicant’s candidacy in its totality to assess suitability for this role, including enthusiasm and inclination to learn and grow.

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 5–8 years of professional experience in SaaS implementation, professional services, or technical project management OR 5–8 years of experience in donor relations, fund management, or advancement services in a leadership or senior role.
  • 2–5 years’ experience managing teams.
  • Preference for familiarity with Blackbaud and Salesforce ecosystem.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple concurrent implementation or onboarding projects from kickoff through go-live.
  • Familiarity with data migration, system configuration, and end-user training in a SaaS context.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and manage client expectations at all levels.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy across parallel projects and client deliverables.
  • Strong business acumen and professional demeanor, with the ability to navigate complex organizational dynamics at client institutions.
  • Proficiency in using project management and CRM software (e.g., Asana, HubSpot) to track and manage implementation activities.
  • PMP or equivalent project management certification is a plus.

  • Possesses an innovative and entrepreneurial mindset and approaches problem-solving with a creative and calm outlook.
  • Learns quickly and remains flexible to adapt to evolving circumstances as the business scales.
