Position Summary

We are looking for an experienced Implementation Team Lead to lead FundMiner’s client implementation practice and ensure every new customer launches successfully on the platform.

In this role, you will own the end-to-end implementation lifecycle from initial kickoff through go-live and handoff to the Customer Success team. You will develop scalable implementation playbooks, lead a growing team of implementation specialists, and partner closely with Sales, Product, and Engineering to deliver fast, high-quality onboarding experiences that drive lasting client value.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Implementation and Project Management: Own the implementation lifecycle for assigned clients, from kickoff through go-live and handoff. Build and maintain detailed project plans, keep stakeholders aligned, and proactively manage timelines, risks, and dependencies. Represent FundMiner in client meetings throughout the implementation process.
  • Platform Configuration & Data Migration: Configure the FundMiner platform to meet each client’s specific fund management and reporting needs. Lead data gathering, mapping, and migration activities, working with clients and internal teams to ensure accurate and complete data transfers.
  • Product Education & Training: Deliver high-quality, role-specific training to client stakeholders that empowers users to adopt and use FundMiner confidently and effectively. Develop and maintain training materials, onboarding guides, and how-to resources. Act as an internal liaison, sharing client insight, feedback, and opportunities across teams.
  • Ongoing Support: Provide structured post-go-live support for a defined stabilization period before transitioning the client relationship to the Customer Success team.
  • Processes and Procedures: Follow, contribute to, and help refine FundMiner’s implementation playbooks, onboarding templates, and success metrics to increase consistency, client satisfaction, and scalability across all implementations.
  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate closely with Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Engineering to deliver a cohesive and high-impact client experience throughout implementation.
  • Product: Partner with the Product team to test platform features and configurations as part of the implementation process, ensuring a seamless experience for clients and surfacing bugs or gaps as needed.
  • Tools & Technology: Easily and efficiently navigate Microsoft Office suite, Asana, and HubSpot to manage implementation projects and client communications. Keep diligent notes on and track all client interactions in our CRM (HubSpot) so that you can easily recall and pick up where the conversation left off. You always follow up and have a next step planned.
  • Market & Customer Intelligence: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments in the fundraising and advancement space. Actively participate in relevant conferences, workshops, and networking events to expand your knowledge and professional network.

Skills & Experience

This is an ideal but non-exhaustive list of qualifications we are looking for in a successful candidate. If you meet some but not all of these, we encourage you to apply anyway! We look at each applicant’s candidacy in its totality to assess suitability for this role, including enthusiasm and inclination to learn and grow.

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 3–5 years of professional experience in a SaaS implementation or professional services role OR 3–5 years of professional experience in fundraising operations managing CRMs with experience implementing several platforms.
  • Demonstrated experience managing implementation or onboarding projects from kickoff through go-live in a SaaS environment.
  • Familiarity with data migration, system configuration, and end-user training in a SaaS context. Experience with fund accounting or advancement systems is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish lasting client relationships.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in managing parallel implementation projects and client deliverables.
  • Strong business acumen and professional demeanor, with the ability to navigate complex organizational dynamics at client institutions.
  • Proficiency in using CRM and project management software (e.g., HubSpot, Asana) to track and manage client interactions and implementation activities.

  • Maintains a client-first outlook and uses good judgment to identify risks, resolve issues, and create a smooth onboarding experience.
