Position Summary
We’re seeking an organized, curious, and collaborative Associate Product Manager to support the execution and evolution of FundMiner’s product. This role will drive Product & Engineering operations forward while assisting in translating partner efforts into tangible pipeline through cross-team collaborative efforts.
This role will support the full product development lifecycle across requirement gathering, workflow documentation, feature delivery, internal enablement, and continuous development. It will serve as a connective layer across teams to translate customer feedback and business needs into actionable product inputs.
With the opportunity to grow alongside the product function in a fast-paced, adaptive startup environment, this role is built for the professional seeking to shape FundMiner’s core product strategy and long-term growth.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Product Execution
-
Help drive FundMiner’s product roadmap forward by turning real-world problems into clear, buildable requirements. You’ll write user stories, define acceptance criteria, prioritize backlogs, unblock teams, and make sure we’re shipping the right things fast — without sacrificing quality.
Requirements Gathering & Technical Documentation
-
Work directly with Engineering, Design, and internal stakeholders to gather requirements, map workflows, and document product behavior. You’ll translate business needs into technical product specs, edge cases, and functional details that engineers can confidently build from.
-
Partner day-to-day with engineers and our UX designer to align on scope, tradeoffs, and timelines. You’ll help ensure we’re building software that’s not only functional, but intuitive, consistent, and polished. You’ll be expected to communicate clearly, move quickly, and keep execution unblocked.
Product Intuition & UX Quality Bar
-
Bring strong instincts for what makes software feel “right.” You’ll pressure-test flows, identify confusing moments, and push for a clean user experience — even when we’re moving fast. You’ll help ensure every release feels intentional, not duct-taped together.
QA, Testing, and Release Confidence
- Own the details. You’ll help validate features before they go live by running QA, verifying edge cases, and confirming acceptance criteria. You’ll think through failure states, test workflows end-to-end, and ensure releases are reliable and customer-ready.
Customer Feedback & Continuous Improvement
- Support the collection and synthesis of customer feedback, partner input, and market insights. You’ll help turn real user pain into actionable product improvements and iterate quickly based on what we learn.
Delivery Support & Lightweight Project Management
-
Help keep product work moving by tracking progress, clarifying open questions, coordinating handoffs, and maintaining alignment on what’s shipping and when. This is a startup environment — we value momentum, clarity, and ownership over process for process’ sake.
Product Enablement & Internal Readiness
- Build strong product knowledge and help support internal demos, release notes, and lightweight documentation so Sales, Customer Success, and other teams stay aligned and confident in what we’re shipping.
Skills & Experience
This is an ideal but non-exhaustive list of qualifications we are looking for in a successful candidate. If you meet some but not all of these, we encourage you to apply anyway! We look at each applicant’s candidacy in its totality to assess suitability for this role, including enthusiasm and inclination to learn and grow.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 1–4 years experience in product, project management, implementation, or SaaS.
- Comfortable working closely with engineers and UX to ship software — able to write clear user stories, requirements, and acceptance criteria.
- Strong product instincts and UX intuition (you care about clean, intuitive experiences).
- Detail-oriented and thorough — able to QA features, test edge cases, and ensure releases are solid.
- Strong communication + organization skills: you can prioritize, follow through, and move work forward in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Familiarity with tools like Jira and HubSpot (or similar).
- Bonus: experience in nonprofit/higher ed/government or fundraising/advancement tech.
Qualities & Values
The ideal candidate for this role will be someone who…
- Enjoys turning ambiguity into clarity through documentation
- Takes ownership and follows through with and without direction or oversight
- Excels at managing details, timelines, and dependencies with excellent organization
- Communicates proactively and collaborates comfortably across technical and non-technical teams
- Thrives in a fast-paced startup environment where priorities are constantly evolving
- Is curious about users, systems, and technology workflows from a customer-first mindset
- Approaches projects and problems with a solutions-oriented, growth-focused mindset

- Stakeholder confidence: internal teams feel supported and equipped through solid demos, documentation, and release readiness.
