Who We Are

At FundMiner, our purpose is help organizations turn dollars raised into impact delivered. FundMiner is fast-growing B2B SaaS company in an area of the market that has been historically underserved, with an opportunity to impact lives through technology. We're building toward a future where philanthropic dollars reach the people they're meant for promptly, donor intent is honored, and supporters can see exactly how their gift was utilized and what impact was made.

FundMiner is a fund management, stewardship, and donor reporting platform built for universities, healthcare systems, and community foundations. We help these institutions manage, spend, and report on donor-restricted funds in one place — tracking fund compliance, automating donor reporting, and strengthening donor trust at scale.

Position Summary

We are looking for an experienced Account Executive to sell FundMiner. This is a senior, quota-carrying role where you will be responsible for both generating your own pipeline through targeted, multi-channel outbound, and run the full sales cycle for all inbound and outbound opportunities in order to close new-logo business with some of the largest, most complex institutions in the country.

Deals typically run five to six figures in annual contract value, with a buying committee spanning Advancement Leadership, Advancement Operations and Donor Relations, Finance Leadership, and IT, with average sales cycles of 4-6 months.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Revenue Growth: Own and exceed a revenue target across a defined territory of enterprise higher education institutions, forecasting accurately and committing with confidence.
  • Pipeline Generation: Prospect into target accounts and build your own pipeline through creative, multi-channel outbound, alongside managing inbound leads from marketing and partnerships.
  • Customer Relationships: Build relationships and credibility across the full buying committee — Advancement Leadership, Advancement Operations and Donor Relations, Finance Leadership, and IT — navigating dynamic, multi-stakeholder organizations, building consensus across teams, and securing executive sponsorship early in the deal cycle.
  • Consultative Selling: Build the business case that wins budget, internal champions, and aligns the buying committee around a shared vision for change
  • Collaboration: Orchestrate the right internal and external partner teams around each deal, and run a mutual evaluation plan with the buying team on active opportunities to keep momentum.
  • Sales Operations: Keep HubSpot pipeline data clean and forecasts reliable, while flagging process gaps to leadership.
  • Systems and Technology: Track prospect activity in HubSpot and work fluently across Microsoft Office, AI-tools, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and Fireflies.
  • Coaching & Contribution: Help set the standard other reps are coached against — stay current on higher ed fundraising trends and the competitive landscape, share what’s working in your own pipeline and deal execution, mentor less experienced teammates, and help build our sales playbook, processes, and culture as we scale.

Skills & Experience

This is an ideal but non-exhaustive list of qualifications we are looking for in a successful candidate. If you meet some but not all of these, we encourage you to apply anyway! We look at each applicant’s candidacy in its totality to assess suitability for this role, including enthusiasm and inclination to learn and grow.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 3-5 years of B2B SaaS sales experience, ideally selling into higher education, nonprofit, or fundraising technology.
  • Experience closing new-logo, five and six figure ARR deals with multiple stakeholders in a consultative, solutions-oriented selling motion.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish lasting client relationships.
  • Proven ability to build pipeline, not just manage it.
  • Experience running complex, multi-stakeholder deals; building champions in more than one function rather than relying on a single point of contact; and securing an economic buyer or executive sponsor.
  • Experience with a formal sales methodology - it doesn’t matter which one, but you bring a structured, repeatable approach to running deals.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools to track and manage client interactions and sales processes.

Qualities & Values

The ideal candidate for this role will be someone who…

  • Is energized and enthusiastic about interacting with prospects and executing on sales strategies.
  • Is highly motivated, dynamic, resourceful, and results-oriented to achieve goals.
  • Has the ability to work independently with minimal direct guidance, as well as collaboratively with a team.
  • Possesses an innovative and entrepreneurial mindset and approaches problem-solving with a creative and calm outlook.
  • Learns quickly and remains flexible to adapt to evolving circumstances as the business scales.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced start-up environment, with excellent proactive communication skills and a passion for building and maintaining strong relationships.
  • Has a track record of exceeding goals and enjoys working in a collaborative team setting.
  • Is a strong communicator who can hold a room without dominating it.
  • Is excited about contributing to a growing team, not just hitting their own number.

What Success Looks Like

Given a 4-6 month sales cycle, here’s the general pace we expect:

  • First 30-60 Days: Ramped on FundMiner’s platform, ICP, and buying landscape. Shadowing calls, learning the buying committee, and beginning to build your own outbound motion.
  • First 90 Days: Active pipeline building across self-sourced and inbound opportunities, with early discovery calls booked and a defined economic buyer or champion identified in your top accounts.
  • 6 Months: First deals progressing through validation and proposal with secured champions, and pipeline coverage on pace against your quarterly number.
  • Beyond: Consistently generating and closing enterprise higher education deals against a full quota, and contributing to the sales playbook and team culture as a senior voice.
